At Tidal Family Support, we love finding ways to make family contact both meaningful and fun. This autumn, families have been getting creative by using the season’s treasures to make art and spark imagination.
Children have enjoyed visiting the park just across from Tidal, where they’ve collected colourful leaves, conkers, and other natural finds. Back at the centre, these have been transformed into wonderful autumn collages and displays, celebrating the beauty of the season while giving families a chance to work together on something special.
For older children, the creativity hasn’t stopped there. Inspired by the autumn set-ups, they’ve been writing short stories, bringing their artwork to life through words and imagination. It’s been a lovely way to combine outdoor play, hands-on activities, and storytelling, all while spending quality time together.
Our autumn scavenger hunts and activities are just one of the many ways we use the local community and natural environment to support family contact. Simple, seasonal activities like these create happy memories, encourage teamwork, and give children a chance to express themselves in new and creative ways.
