At Tidal Family Support, building strong relationships within our local community is an important part of what we do. As a charity, working alongside other organisations, businesses and community groups helps us strengthen the support available to children, young people and families across the Isle of Wight.
That’s why we always look forward to attending the Isle of Wight Chamber’s annual Afternoon Tea at Quarr Abbey, and this year’s event was no exception.
Despite the summer heat, it was a fantastic afternoon, expertly hosted by Tracy and the team at Quarr Abbey. The event provided the perfect opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces, meet new contacts and learn more about the incredible work taking place across the Island.
Networking events like these are about much more than exchanging business cards. They give charities like Tidal the chance to build meaningful partnerships, raise awareness of our services and explore opportunities to work collaboratively with others who share our commitment to supporting the local community.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was learning more about the partnerships that help Quarr Abbey continue its valuable work. We were particularly interested to hear about their collaboration with Calbourne Classics, which plays a role in creating the delicious food enjoyed by visitors. It’s a great example of how local organisations can work together to achieve positive outcomes while supporting one another.
As a charity, partnerships are invaluable. Every new connection has the potential to lead to greater awareness, stronger referral pathways, volunteer opportunities or collaborative projects that ultimately benefit the families we support.
We’re grateful to the Isle of Wight Chamber and Quarr Abbey for organising another welcoming and enjoyable event, and we look forward to continuing to build relationships that help make a difference across our Island community.
